L'European Cancer Patient Coalition, organizzazione che riunisce e rappresenta presso le istituzioni europee oltre 300 associazioni di pazienti e familiari di pazienti in 42 paesi, ricerca due stagisti per la Primavera del 2012 (3 mesi da gennaio ad aprile) che lavorino nei suoi uffici di Bruxelles, con la possibilità di un rinnovo di altri 3 mesi.
You will be joining a small team and will have opportunities to get involved in other areas of our activity.
The voluntary internships will run from January 9th until April 6th 2012, renewable for an additional 3 months
The volunteer interns will be eligible to receive €200/month contribution towards living costs.
We welcome applications from students eligible for an Erasmus grant.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 11th December 2011; interviews in Brussels and by telephone will take place over the following ten days.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Policy and Research Intern:
Duties will include conducting research on issues such as clinical trials and supporting our Policy team in ensuring that the rights and priorities of cancer patients are represented in the European Union institutions.
Requirements:
A degree in a relevant field (complete or in progress)
Good skills in researching complex issues, ability to work well both independently and in a small team, paying close attention to detail
Fluent English and at least one other EU language (additional languages an advantage)
Familiarity with EU decision-making processes, events management experience and knowledge of current cancer policy issues would be an advantage

Communications and Membership Engagement Intern:
Duties will include contacting and liaising with member organisations from across Europe, and communicating our work to them through social media sites and other channels.
Requirements:
English and at least one other EU language (additional languages an advantage)
Good communicator across cultural gaps - Familiarity with the use of social media by organisations
Experience using and updating databases
Familiarity with major themes in cancer policy, and experience with InDesign or html email marketing would be an advantage
